Our company. Our numbers.

Ethics is not the doctrine that teaches us exactly how to be happy, but that teaches us how we can do to make ourselves worthy of happiness.

Immanuel Kant, Critique of Practical Reason, 1788.

Being a responsible organization.

Fertil was established in 1987 as the first italian organization dedicated to the recovery of organic wastes by composting.
It was clear, that development of technologies dedicated to the treatment of separate collection wastes was the best way to reduce the consumption of natural resources.

We started a work that allows the effective yearly recovery of 105.000 tons of organic waste, which return to a new life as Quality Compost, reused in various sectors of specialized agriculture and as an ingredient in growing media production.
Our work produces useful material.

Since 2004, we have designed the first Italian Peat Free growing medium, to limit the use of non-renewable resources that has been awarded the European Eco-Label Quality Mark and has been subject to royalties for the benefit of italian World Wildlife Foundation.

For the first, we have introduced the recycling of wooden pallets, not in use in our commercial segment, reaching now a consolidated recovery percentage of 80%.

We believe in technology for the environment.

We partnered with Clean Energies dealers, we have directed all our paper communication to the FSC system related to responsible forestry, we got the main certifications on the Environment, Quality and Safety.

But primarily… We believe that every goal is achievable.

We wanted to reduce the environmental impact generated by the transport of our goods, and, in 2011, we succeeded. Again first, Today, we produce in two separate plants, geographically located to reduce the routes of delivery.

Today, our efforts are focused to the elimination of the last environmental impact of our production: the packaging. To achieve this goal, we have designed a new product collection: IoBIO.
